Finally the weather is really warming up, so I will have more time to work on more garden paintings….and not garden weeding! Climbing Rose

New Leaf in Spring
acrylic on canvas, this “New Leaf ” painting was created from one of a series of drawings I’ve been making every day in our backyard
This painting has been purchased!
Allium
Allium in Spring….a small canvas created from the “sketch a day in the garden” project.
Early Spring paintings
Noodle’s World
One good thing about cold snowy weather is that I have more time to paint! I think I’m going to do a “custom” portrait of each of our dogs (and maybe cats) giving each the spotlight as if they were “the biggest star” in our household.
Golden Dog
During these cold a dreary days of early spring, it’s great to be able to work on some custom “headshots” of dogs and cats. My big dogs like to sit on the couch and watch me work away. I sometimes wonder what they think about my studio activities!

A Walk into Spring
Today’s weather has inspired this painting. It’s great to see little pieces of green and also grey pavement too.
Winter Games at Home
I started this painting idea early last week…and painting the scrabble game became just as difficult as playing the scrabble game…but, just in time for warmer weather, I think I’ve completed this. I’ve been looking at an art book I have about Milton Avery….so, this painting was an attempt to use his “style”…needless to say, he was a great painter defining life in seemingly simple shapes. Bored? look him up sometime.
